Akari light sculpture

While in Portland last week we stopped in one of our favorite shops, Canoe, and I picked up this Noguchi Akari table lamp. I like the irregular shape, more organic with one side rounded and the other sort of concave. The cover is made from mulberry bark paper so it's much more sturdy than normal tissue or vellum paper and I like that it radiates a soft, warm light. We also bought their last chrome Folle 26 staplers which I've heard are now out of production, though you can also find them here.

  1. The little legs make that one special. Love the imperfect organic shape of it, too.

  2. I love that little Noguchi lamp! Just used it for a shoot recently and wanted to keep it! So adorable! Have a great weekend!
