When Jennifer contacted me and asked if I would like make a guest post for her blog, I was very honored and excited. Afterwards I realized I had a problem with what to write about. There are many changes going on in my life at the moment and one of them is that next year we probably won’t be living in our current apartment anymore. That’s why I decided to write a short love letter for our apartment.

I remember the first time when we walked into our apartment. The walls were covered with shades of orange and green and the floor was green plastic. The walls were full of holes and the windows were really dirty. We almost ran out of there with my husband. I was very disappointed since my expectations were very high. Lovely light, high space and rough industrial-vibe.
At home we started to think if it would be possible to do something to make the apartment better. We managed to talk our landlord to change the floors and paint the walls white. When the moving day came, we walked in to a dream home. We have lived here now for a little bit over two years.
There have been lots of laughter and even some tears inside these walls. We have spent nights with friends or sat alone on the couch just listening to the rain drops fall. It has been a good place to be. This place has given me the certainty about what is truly me in interior decoration. I’ve loved the huge windows and the light coming in from them, though I’ve also hated washing them (that’s why it’s my husbands job to do it).
My blog is mostly about this home and what’s in it. And because something so important is soon gone, I don’t know what will happen to my blog. It has been good to live here and I would love to stay but you just have to move on someday. Even though it’s hard to let the apartment go, otherwise change is good. So mostly I’m feeling good.

AMM was created as a way to share my aesthetics with the world. Stunning interiors instigated my passion for beautiful, extraordinary, and simple shapes. I was largely influenced by Nordic design philosophy and AMM transitioned from a personal blog into my own collection of interiors, things, visual trends, DIY projects, lifestyle products, and observations. As an interior design aficionado, I would love to see like-minded people, so stay tuned!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
