inspiration from Dior A/W 2016
Excuse my partial silence this week, I've wanted to blog but when I get free time to do so I've been so tired and opting for a nap sounded better. Hey, I haven't been on vacation yet this year so I don't feel so guilty for napping. Next month we are taking the kids to LA so I am very much looking forward to museums, car rides, ocean views and plenty of new food! Of course I'll be Instagramming our way through!
A few days ago I cam across this image of a model with gold liquid eye make up which remained me also of this gold wall from the Dior A/W show and, surprise to no one but me, they were from the same event! Hello. The entire show was inspiring but I especially like the gold detailing, used in unusual ways but still bringing that reflective hint of luxury to contrast the other deep black details. You can draw a lot of inspiration for interiors from this as well especially as metallics or gold accents among candleholders, frames and lighting are still going strong right now and into the Fall.
This also reminds me that a few years ago I found a giant gold hair clip similar to this one used at the show and I need to start wearing it again!
