A little bit ago we moved Elin to her own room. She had been sleeping in our room (my husband and I's) since she was born. Our bedroom had enough space for our own bed, her crib and a wardrobe but actually she slept in bed with me so the crib was never used. I can't say that I minded though, I loved having her in my bed but now at 2 I felt she was big enough to move across the hall to her own room.
This isn't a full room tour or anything, we still have to build some storage on one of the walls of her room and paint it however her bed and rug have been in place for a couple weeks. I wanted a subtle vintage, French look but still minimal and not overdone.
We chose Oeuf's perch toddler bed and I painted it a very dark blue/grey. The rug has a Beni Ourain feel with dark brown and ivory wool pile and braided ends that works well with the other soft greys and taupes on her bed. It's a plus soft space for reading books and playing with her dolls.
I'll try to get better pictures of more of her room as it is finished
