on a ledge

window

One of the things I already miss about being in Denmark & Sweden are the old, deep window ledges in the homes and buildings. I can squeeze a couple small things on ours, but it's just not the same.
I made this concrete pyramid last year & keep forgetting to write up a DIY tutorial for it. Maybe someday I'll get around to it...

  1. Great still shot. The pyramid is beautiful, love the rustic grey colour. If you have a tutorial, I would love to read it!

Funny how you talk about those deep sills. I live in The Netherlands, and we have average deep window sills I guess, but I always have dreamed about the idea I have in my head of American window sills, thinking they are deep and filled with pillows, so you can sit in them and dream away with a book. And ofcourse there is a porch as well, outside. A porch with a swinging couch.

Gosh. I want to live in that house in my head :D

  6. I agree! I live in Australia and it's so rare to find beautiful deep window ledges here. I dream of having a deep window ledge above a radiator (another elusive item in Australian homes) and filling it with pot plants and lovely things. Maybe if I move to Sweden....
