Happy Friday! I am so glad the weekend is here. We got home from our trip very early Tuesday morning but I still don't feel like I'm back to normal. I'm hoping this weekend will help. I had no idea jet lag could last this long, so weird!
I'm excited to share this new photograph with you. I've been wanting some really great photography for a while but it's not the kind of thing you rush. I wanted to find something classic and sort of ambiguous, soft and without a lot of color. Just in time this new shop, The Print Atelier contacted me and I instantly connected to this piece from Oumayma B. Tanfous. I love the simple calm light and the shape of the black, brimmed hat. It's perfect!
The print also came nicely packaged in carboard and waxed paper with gloves (to prevent fingerprints) and a signed card by the artist with a bit of information about the print as well. They have several great photographs in their store, it's a great resource for beautiful photography prints.
And lastly, the quick DIY was inspired by some props I saw at a department store in Stockolm. I used a small phone book and ripped off the yellow pages and covers. Also, I had bought these black bungee cords from an army surplus store that I bought last Summer and it worked perfectly to wrap around and keep the rolled book from opening.
