I need calm just now, after spending a couple of days being ill and the mess has become unbearable. Sometimes I question do we really need all this stuff? If I had a bigger home, I would love to have just one room that had nothing in it, ok maybe a chair, so when the mess got all too much I could just go in there and relax.

  2. Lovely images. These spaces are instantly calming. Less is more definitely. Claire/Just a little less xo

  6. Oh I know that feeling! I just actually blogged about the same thing and put some empty pictures in my blog too :) These are very calming pictures as well, sometimes eyes are just tired to see colours or mess. Empty room would definitely help!

  7. i would also love to have a room with absolutely nothing in it at all, except maybe a bit of comfort, like a plain padded cushion on the floor...human-sized of course. (i just blogged about that same sense of too-muchness you're describing; i'm totally with you.) i sometimes wonder how exactly it is that we americans end up lugging so much stuff around, when in fact we need very little. it's a question for philosophers, i suppose - or sociologists. ;)
