I wanted to share with you another inspirational home. I have mentioned before about having a long list of homes that I always refer back to when I need a little inspiration, or just purely to admire over. This home is no exception, styled by one of my favourite stylists Lotta Agaton. This home is charming yet chic and has a warming feeling towards it, that has loads of personality with accents of browns and a lot of use of glass balancing out the monochrome look and giving it a warmth throughout. Wonderful prints, textiles and white floors how could you not admire this home?

When Jennifer contacted me and asked if I would like make a guest post for her blog, I was very honored and excited. Afterwards I realized I had a problem with what to write about. There are many changes going on in my life at the moment and one of them is that next year we probably won't be living in our current apartment anymore. That's why I decided to write a short love letter for our apartment.

I remember the first time when we walked into our apartment. The walls were covered with shades of orange and green and the floor was green plastic. The walls were full of holes and the windows were really dirty. We almost ran out of there with my husband. I was very disappointed since my expectations were very high. Lovely light, high space and rough industrial-vibe.
At home we started to think if it would be possible to do something to make the apartment better. We managed to talk our landlord to change the floors and paint the walls white. When the moving day came, we walked in to a dream home. We have lived here now for a little bit over two years.
There have been lots of laughter and even some tears inside these walls. We have spent nights with friends or sat alone on the couch just listening to the rain drops fall. It has been a good place to be. This place has given me the certainty about what is truly me in interior decoration. I've loved the huge windows and the light coming in from them, though I've also hated washing them (that's why it's my husbands job to do it).
My blog is mostly about this home and what's in it. And because something so important is soon gone, I don't know what will happen to my blog. It has been good to live here and I would love to stay but you just have to move on someday. Even though it's hard to let the apartment go, otherwise change is good. So mostly I'm feeling good.

Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte and I live in Sweden. Since I got the chance to make a guest-post for Jennifer's inspiring blog I wanted to show you how my family and I live.

Our home is a very important place to me and I want it to be as cosy as possible, especially now when it's cold here in Sweden. I love to light some candles, sit in the armchair wrapped up in one of my blankets, read a book and have some tea. I often have one of my three cats purring by my knee at the same time, they are very social.

The interior in our apartment is mostly black and white but also some gray. A lot of my furniture are from the Swedish stores and Ikea. I really LOVE going to Ikea, my husband doesn't love it as much as I do ;) haha. I can spend a whole day just walking around in the store dreaming and making plans of everything I want for our home.

So here's some pictures of our place.

Have a nice day! //Charlotte

I just wanted to stop by real quick and interrupt these wonderful guest posts because I need the break from work to share these beautiful things with you from Muuto. My family has several Muuto pieces including candle holders and pendant lights but their new chair in that green color is calling my name. Plus, I have a total crush on those wood cabinets!

People often complain about how messy the kids room is and how they always have toys all over the place. Well, I say it depends which kind of toys you buy for your kids! I tend to have a soft spot for vintage wooden toys, they are made to last, often suitable for both boys and girls and they look nice! My latest flea market find is this wooden toy piano that has a soft and very authentic "piano-like" sound. You can really play it! And no, I´m not at all bothered to have this lovely toy outside my sons room ...:)

little ones' space

by Deborah

kids
When It comes to children's bedrooms what I love more is simple decor and letting all the fun kids toys, prints and textiles come alive in that space. I love decorating my boys' room, although I am not a fan of too much colour in the rest of my home I do think children's spaces need to be full of life and let theit little personalities shine through. It's also a great place to be as creative as you wish!

Here is a list of a few things I have put together. Making a statement to any wall, this gorgeous Fine Little Day mountains wallpaper, and a resin moose head. Include a mobile, they are not only for little ones and this classic honeycomb mobile would look great hanging for that extra detail. I love prints and this Audrey Jeanne Fur and Glasses print is fun and quirky. Mix this look with some textiles and plush toys, Lucky Boy Sunday Wrestler, a Harvest Textiles black cloud cushion and a Kebnekasie Mountain Beanbag from Little Red Stuga. A few finishing touches by adding a Laurette chair in turquoise and a trumma drum from Acne Jr.

Have fun with your little ones spaces!

A corner of our living room from yesterday afternoon. I hate that it's starting to get dark so early already but I'm also ready for some cooler weather. It is still pretty hot here in Idaho and I hate the heat. I find myself turning on a lot of lights in the evening to try to make the house bright again and trying to keep lighter colors in every room to reflect what little light there is. Sadly, it's only going to get worse soon.

Anyone else have little things they do to fight the darker Fall months?

I don't usually keep colorful things in groups in my home but in my workroom there is a cabinet of brightly colored pieces that don't seem to fit well anywhere else in the house. Some of these happen to be my favorite things and I thought I'd share them with you.
Hay makes these boxes & trays in sets of different colors and sizes. I like how these have many possible functions but in my work area they are great for storing jewelry supplies and smaller packaging materials.
This scalloped tape is a new item in Kerry's shop (better known as The Seventy Tree). She has quite a few new, nice things but her new tapes are some of my favorites.
Also, Roma Winkel is a friend of mine who makes the cutest hand printed fabric and paper envelopes. I have this set and a fabric purse as well.
The necklace is from my shop & will be available for purchase shortly!

I need some cheery color. So tired today and really feeling emotionally exhausted as well. Maybe this will help any of you who might be feeling the same.

I spend so much time at my desk. Reading, editing photos, answering emails, making jewelry, packaging, and shopping...it's pretty much my life these days. As with anything it gets tiring and old. I dream of vacation around this time of year!

Some more images of our bedroom. I've already rearranged a few things since but so far I like this room much better with the dresser rather than our desk. Also, the little bit of wood makes it feel warm and cozy. I come in here to work sometimes, but then I'm only tempted to take a nap. Probably not a good place to get any work done!
