bittersweet

I'm happy to say Jeremiah and I are taking a little trip this weekend. We haven't had time alone since Israel was born, over two years ago. Even before that, our last trip was for our honeymoon, over four years ago! I can't wait to leave, to stay in a hotel, eat lots of good food and just relax. At the same time, I'm going to miss this little guy badly. Thankfully, he'll be in good hands, but a week is a long time to be apart from your child.

I'm taking this time to have a little break from blogging but my shop will remain open and I'll still be answering messages and emails. I'll be updating my store when I get back too, yay!
Hope you all have great weeks, be back soon. (oh, and I'll try to bring back some photos for you)

:)

  1. enjoy this time. I am also struggling with the same feelings. I don't think they ever go away. I hope not.

  2. Pack your tissue. I cried like a baby when I left J for the first time for our honeymoon-I wanted to go home every day just to see him...but then come back and finish the honeymoon ;) jmae

  4. good for you guys! my husband and i went to barcelona in april for my birthday, only 4 nights. it was the best thing we did. actually, it was not that hard to leave. their grandparents kept them happy and busy. and i bought little gifts for the kids to open every day we were gone. but now when the grandparents come for a visit oliver says to me "mummy, don't go!" x

  7. I love the little guy's suspenders! So cute. Enjoy your time with your husband. We have seven kids and still managed to get to Paris for a week in May. The children did not miss us!

  11. I can understand. Even when I leave my little Beatrice with my parents for a weekend, I get all antsy but it's all good. Have a sweet time with the hubby! You two totally deserve it. :D
