exciting news + DIY

I realize the last post was kind of a downer but I wanted to share something I've been working on. Abbey showed this DIY to me while tweeting about these knobs and I decided I needed to do this! Not only to keep myself occupied but also because I don't feel like I've made anything for a long time. Besides the light I guess.
Anyways I had such a great time kneading, slicing and baking that I'm going to be selling them in my, kind of neglected, shop, for those of you who don't want to do-it-yourself. To be perfectly honest, I could use the extra $ for all the doctor's visits we've had and will have in the future.
Each pair is just $5 and I have rings as well. Just keep in mind that I'm no pro and an appreciation for the ones with "character" is helpful.

  1. These are so darn cute! Definitely fall into the category: why didn't I think of that? So simple and chic. I love when a crafty DIY is chic. Even better.

I didn't comment on your previous post, but I did read and since I'm here now... I just want you to know I'm thinking about you and sending positive energy your way. My daughter is the same age as Israel (September 26) and I can only imagine what you must be going through. Just know that no matter what you choose to share on your blog—many of your readers, myself included, think of you as a friend and want the best for you.

  4. Cool rings. Hanging head - hadn't been to your shop yet. Cute baskets too. Working with hands is always a good outlet.
    All the best,

  15. they're all great, it was hard to pick just one! I figured why not pick up a pair and a ring, since I couldn't decide...plus hoping it helps with your rising Dr. bills. Congrats on the UO blog feature too!
