I wanted to revamp my china a bit so I painted it, well more like
doodled on it. I used a porcelain paint pen, which I purchased at
Michael's and drew my design. Once finished, you just bake it at
300 for 35 mins and you're done!
What do you think?

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is beautiful! I've wanted to try this for a while on some mugs but haven't been certain which pens to use, but now I know :) Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletelove it, great job!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Ages ago I decorated some mugs with Pebeo Porcelaine paints but have never tried the pens. I like how much control you have with them; I'm much happier drawing than painting :)
ReplyDeleteCould you tell us which pens you bought so I get the right ones? Thx
They look great! I think I just bought this same set at PB--now I know what to do when I get bored with it!

ReplyDeletelove it!! all the other examples of this that i've seen have been too cheesy to make me want to try it myself. now i'm feeling rather inspired =)
ReplyDeleteyour dishes look great! I bought one of those pens not too long ago and you've inspired me to go for it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really good!

ReplyDeleteI got really neat low profile white plates at the dollar store.
DeleteWow, that is so cool! However, I must say, you're braver than I. I'd be terribly afraid to start. lol

ReplyDeleteVery nice, a bit Marimekko like!
ReplyDeleteLove it!

ReplyDeleteI have a mismatched "collection" of plates, bowls, cups - applying a similar pattern will make them look cohesive at last! Thanks for the inspiration :)

I'm so excited
That looks really great!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's really, really cool. I didn't know that such a thing as a porcelain paint pen existed. I'll never look at white china the same way again.
ReplyDeleteSo cool, thanks for sharing. I reblogged on http://constitutionallymoderndiy.tumblr.com/

Love the idea, can't wait to show my daughter for her new home!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Thx for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVery fun! How many pens do you think it would take to do an entire set (6 mini plates, 6 full size and 6 bowls)
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! Thanks for the great tip!
ReplyDeleteI will be making a trip to Michael's today.
They remind me more of ikea's FÄRGRIK VÄLDIG plates. Nice job. Are the pens non-toxic?
ReplyDeleteI have since gotten rid of the plates. I do not know if they are non-toxic but I have painted some plates recently with a non-toxic porcelain paint that only lines the edges so it's not really in the way of food.
DeleteWould love to try this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration.
I did put your idea on my pinterstboard: Have to try this.
