An eco-friendly to-go cup...

A novel idea...I think...to come up with a porcelain & silicone to-go cup. A cup that can be reused but still retains the shape & size up the typical paper & plastic cups! Pretty cool huh?

  8. The cup is great-looking, but the lid is very smelly - I can't use mine. Any hints about deodorising silicone?

  9. Hmm...I don't know how to get keep it from smelling but I've heard that a dish soap with bleach works well for cleaning...

  10. Jen Bradford - you might first try scrubbing baking soda and warm water on the item. Rinse, Repeat. If you want a stronger solution - then Vinegar is key. It does wonder at removing smells from Tupperware, and just might do the trick on silicone. You could soak it. (Some prefer lemon over vinegar, but though lemon is one of my fave cleaners, vinegar does wonders with certain lingering smells). After that I'd leave it directly in the sun for a while. The sun is a perfect, natural way to kill odors. Good luck!
